  The article “Smart Road technology could turn highways into crash-sensing ‘touchpads’” (2018) introduces and explains the latest features and the newest technology for roads and highways that will make motorists and drivers a safer place to drive. The article states that having this technology will remarkably increase the safety of the riders on the road as there will be sensors and detectors to detect the movement of the vehicles on the road if there are any accidents that may occur while drivers are on the road. After several testing for the past few years, the technology has improved. The system will input sensors and detectors into the program to indicate the condition of the roads such as traffic jams or accidents by the connection of the internet. From this, users, and the emergency centre will be able to call or be alarmed if there are any accidents occur.
